Milk Street brought distilling back to Sussex County after a 70-year absence, and it's grown into one of the most genuinely fun nights out in the county. This is a true grain-to-glass operation, with everything mashed, fermented, distilled, and bottled on site, and the personality shows in the spirits themselves, with names like Murder Bourbon, Vexed Gin, and Wooden Leg Rum. The craft cocktails are fantastic, and the events calendar is where it really separates itself: live music, food trucks, and yes, chicken shit bingo, which is exactly what it sounds like and exactly as entertaining. Outside, picnic tables and corn hole make it easy to settle in for an afternoon, and keep an eye out for Harry and Ester, the resident barn cats who have become little furry celebrities and give the place a charm all its own. They don't serve food, so bring your own or have some delivered; nobody minds. The tasting room runs Friday through Sunday, tours are walk-in with no booking needed, and weekday hours are bottle pickup only.
