Lafayette Mill Antiques Center
Fifty-plus dealers inside a 19th-century gristmill, open since 1980.
Town
Lafayette is where I send anyone hunting for something old and worth keeping. The Mill Antiques Center packs dozens of dealers into a converted grist mill on the Paulinskill, and Olde Lafayette Village adds boutiques, a coffee stop, and easy parking right at the Route 15 and Route 94 junction.
Come on a Saturday morning, eat first, and give yourself a few hours, because the shops here reward slow browsing. It is also a smart first stop before heading north toward Sussex Borough or east to the fairgrounds in Augusta.
